A Gift for You For National Caregivers Day!

This is sponsored content written by me in partnership with Depend® brand. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

In honor of National Caregivers Day on February 15th, I’ve partnered with Depend® to share a free Caregiver toolkit with the Caregiver Warrior community. The brand will be giving away up to 50 free toolkits to acknowledge and honor the amazing Caregivers out there, and the miraculous work they do.

I am happy to be involved in this Caregiver celebration with a brand I “depended” on to keep my Mom safe and protected when she was in hospice. Ensuring my Mom was as comfortable as she could be during this heartbreaking time was my number one concern and I relied on Depend products.

What I love about this Caregiver toolkit the most is the thought behind it. This handy kit is filled with practical and fun items any Caregiver would welcome, like a phone charger, sleep mask for home or hospital stays, lavender oil, pill box container, and of course Depend® FIT-FLEX® underwear which now comes in even more sizes for different body types! These are things that encourage self-care and demonstrate true appreciation for family and professional Caregivers.

My favorite is the coffee mug with the inscription “I’m a Caregiver, what’s your superpower!?” Love that! This simple but powerful message recognizes the tremendous contribution Caregivers make every day of the week. These miracle workers make the world a better place for all of us, quite often without receiving thanks or even realizing how important they are.

As a Caregiver myself I know how difficult it was for me to claim time for myself to hang my Wonder Woman Cape up for a while. This handy toolkit serves as a lovely reminder that even Caregivers with superpowers deserve to take some much needed time and space for self-love and care.

So, Happy National Caregivers Day to each and every Caregiver out there! Remember that this day is a special shout out to you! We celebrate you, the work you do and the love you spread to those under your care and the families around them. Thank you for being superheroes and Caregiver Warriors! We applaud you and are forever grateful. Click on the link below for your free Caregiver toolkit and take a bow!

I’m a wheelchair user who cared alone for my late mum who was also a wheelchair user for fifteen years!… Mum had kidney failure and Parkinson’s… I was doing her dialysis three to four times a day for about eight years… She was beginning to develop Parkinson’s Dementia too, so it became pretty intense!… Big shout out of support for all carers out there!!!….Thanks for the site, Susanne…

Ha! Yes it is character building! And yes I agree completely. Caregiving my parents was the hardest but best thing I’ve ever done in my life. I have such a sense of peace about it all.
