Time for more book reviews! Here are three interesting and insightful reads that I want to share with you. They all contain various keys to healing and offer unique takes on the world and how we navigate it. I truly enjoyed each one for its own special message.

Recipes for Love and Community

Extra Helping: Recipes for Caring, Connecting & Building Community One Dish At A Time, is a wonderful cookbook written by Janet Reich Elsbach, an angel of a chef. She believes that cooking for others is an act of love and that food nourishes the soul. She works tirelessly to nurture her community by feeding them with kindness and some of the best food imaginable. This delightful cookbook is full of healthy, delicious recipes in addition to antidotes, heartwarming stories, and lessons in making a difference to the world around us. Cooking in one home and delivering to another with compassion and love is the main ingredient here and I for one cannot get enough. This is the perfect source, especially if you have a Caregiver Warrior in your life who could use some home-cooked comfort and relief.

Healing and Managing Anxiety

The Holistic Root to Managing Anxiety, thoughtfully written by Wellness Consultant and Guru Maria Tabone is a loving guide to relieving and managing anxiety. She offers invaluable, nurturing strategies for relief and comfort. As someone who suffers from anxiety, I truly appreciated the kind, gentle, yet no-nonsense strategies she explains in plain English. There is something in here for everyone!

Healing After Trauma

The Transformation: Discovering Wholeness and Healing After Trauma, by James Gordon is a powerful guide to healing. It is written in such a gentle, compassion yet insightful tone that the book itself proves to be a critical part of the healing process. Written by a clinical professor of psychiatry and renowned trauma authority who has spent his career gathering together tactics and practices that help restore and heal, this book is a wonderful resource. Mind, body and soul dots are all connected, and everyone can find a path to recovery in these pages. I am deeply impressed with the action-based tactics he includes here.

Enjoy these special books as I have. All three are available on Amazon.
